Snow Day

I put this photo on instagram this morning. Photographed when I first got up from my bedroom window. Not too bad at all here. The animals went out, have been fed, and are back in bed. My driveway has been plowed but my car is another story. I'll deal with it and my front walk later. My road has been plowed and salted - I'm so lucky to live on a county road!

I watch the premier of the 8-part miniseries "THE ASSETS" last night and it was very intriguing. I must watch it again on my iPad so I can see the typing on the screen. The flatscreen TV in my bedroom isn't very big and I can never read stuff on it from my bed. Here's a review of the show....I'm sure it will be repeated on ABC so look for it or watch it online or on demand. One of the stars of the show played the mother on Broadchurch and she's wonderful. The show reminds me a little of The Bletchley Circle too. It's a spy thriller based on the Cold War. Here is the NYTimes review. Aren't you glad you have me to tell you what to watch?

I'm off to eat my oatmeal now. xo

Glad to hear your surroundings are in good shape this morning already. We have a 100% chance of snow today, 6-9". May be interesting!

We're having oatmeal this morning, too. With blueberries harvested from our garden this past summer. Have a wonderful day, Rosemary.

How beautiful! It's been in the high 70's where I live. I love seeing pictures of snow but I'm glad I don't have to deal with it anymore. Stay warm and cozy!

Thanks for the heads up on the Assets. I recorded it but haven't watched it yet.

Love your blog, it is very tranquil and calming. I check in every day, sometimes morning and night. Yes, I am glad you talk about the shows you're watching and enjoying. I always look out for them on our side of the continent. I really enjoyed Broadchurch, and thought the acting was wonderful. I was so swept up in it that when it turned out to be the detectives' husband I actually cried. I've never done that over a crime drama before! Loved Bletchley Circle as well. The Brits have some wonderful shows. Thank goodness, cause there is not much else to watch. Happy New Year to you and your pets. Looking forward to your day to day goings on.Thank you for sharing.

I never would have watched Doc Martin if you hadn't provided a link to the online episodes. Loved it, so thank you. I'm about to catch up on all the Sherlock episodes.

I am ALWAYS very pleased when you alert readers of an upcoming show or offer a critique of one you've watched. We have similar tastes so I know most likely if you like it, I definitely will.

Thanks, Rosemary. You provide a great service.

LOVE the snow pictures - keep them coming . . .

It looks so peaceful and secluded where you live - how many acres do you have? (I think one can never have enough land:)

Karen...I have 2 acres but there is parkland beside me and behind me so it looks like so much more. I am so fortunate. I have convenient isolation. The best.

I'm so glad you found me on Instagram. Now I'm following you too. I am still learning my way around but I am loving it. I'll look at your photos tomorrow. I am taking my iPad to bed to finish my movie. The fire has died out.
