717 is a good one. "Remove your sunglasses when you talk to someone." Most people don't.

My Mom would have been a big fan of Rule 717. She always wanted me to take off my sunglasses when I was speaking to her (or anyone else) so she could see (i.e., "read") my eyes. Unfortunately, my eyes are very light sensitive and it was difficult to do, particularly in bright sunlight. Eyes do "talk," as well as the tone of your voice over the phone when the face is unseen.

Hi Rosemary!
I had to come back and comment after I viewed your listing. What an incredible home!!!!
I live in Fort Erie Ontario Canada. In a small beach community of Crystal Beach. We have alot of 1930's mansions on the water owned by Americans. They have been in some families for over 100years. You have to look up Howard Realty to see the same homes as yours. I am just amazed at the wonderful interiors of our American friends. You are all not afraid of prints or colour. I can always tell when a gorgeous home here is owned by an American. This home you have listed is decorated exactly like the ones here.
I have come to the conclusion that Americans are fearless in their decorating as in business!
My husband always says we Canadians have alot to learn from you guys!!
Pamela :)
