Beautiful Fall Leaves

I've been picking up beautiful leaves when I walk Webster each day and pressing them. Do you think these hearts were cut by hand or with a punch? Aren't they beautiful? Have a great day and I'll see you later. xo

I see hearts too!
What a wonderful color palette to design a room around :)

I would love to think the heart leaves grow that way, but I'd be very surprised if that is the case. Still, it makes me want to cut and press some that I find on my walks! So pretty. Do you press them between waxed paper between the pages of books?

Two were cut with a punch the other by hand??? I come from a long line of leaf collectors, started out with my grandmother, then my mother, now I pick them up with my grandchildren. We iron between sheets of wax paper. Use them to decorate in the fall, and of course always have scattered on table for Thanksgiving dinner.

Ohhhh! I pick up leaves on my walks too, have done so all my life. And like you, I press leaves for their exquisite design. Do you mount them as well? Pressing and mounting has turned into a great passion of late, so much so that I pressed, mounted and framed an entire room [3 walls] of leaves. We are remodeling a kind of a rustic treehouse, so out the fourth wall is nothing but a view of trees.

I entered our project in a design contest sponsored by the website Remodelista. You needen't publish this comment, I just wanted to share the pic with you because I think you'll appreciate the joy and passion behind the project. We didn't win the contest, but Remodelista showed all the entries on their site.

This is our dining room, but it's also the entry [front doors/entry courtyard on the left, the big view is on the right].

Flo....I looked at the framed leaves in your dining room/entry and they are lovely as is the room. I like to photograph my pressed leaves.
