Cheerful Kitchen Behind Pocket Doors

It's nice to see pocket doors again instead of sliding barn doors, isn't it? I love this cheerful small pantry kitchen with open shelves and checkerboard floor. via
My exterior painting hasn't started yet but I've been busy with trades people working inside. All of my electrical problems have been solved inside and out. Plumber is coming on Friday. Progress is being made.

Neat little cozy kitchen, but I really must have a window in front of my kitchen sink. I spend too much time there not to be able to see outdoors. The checkerboard floors, however, are top notch. I think black and white blocks dress up any room in the house!

I've always loved pocket doors. In my grandparents modest home, they had a huge set separating their dining room and living room. We grandkids loved to open and shut them, but Grandma didn't tolerate that for too long!

I love how their ordinary foods and paper towel supply are displayed -- makes it look like works of art!

Carol...I do too. I've always loved oatmeal boxes.

JudyMac...I need a window over the sink as well.

MamaPea...I wish I had one set of pocket doors in my cottage.

I love pocket doors. I also love this kitchen although I've given up the notion that I could ever be happy with all of my kitchen wares displayed...maybe a shelf or two, but I'm much to OCD to have mostly open and/or glass front cupboards.
Good to hear of the update on your home. Can't wait to see it painted.
