A few Cottage photos

Tabitha sends best wishes for a Happy Labor Day.

A Tiger Swallowtail feasting on wildflowers.

The wild raspberry leaves are turning colors.

Here's a close view of the back of my cottage showing the shingles. It looks so different from the front because I get the harsh morning sun back there. Most of my original semi-transparent Cabot stain has washed off too. It looks like a haunted house, doesn't it? The painter dropped off my new paint over the weekend. Of course, it's raining today for Labor Day. Hope you have a better forecast wherever you are. I want the rainy season to be over before my exterior decorating begins. See you later.

Enjoy your day. We are is great need of rain, so I wouldn't complain if a few showers drifted my way. Hugs, Bonnie

Thank you for the lovely images you posted, especially best wishes from Tabitha on this Labor Day.

Your house is going to be absolutely transformed. What a difference a clean, crisp white will make---
especially to the backside. If it's possible, I think I'm almost as excited as you are! ;-)

It does NOT look like a haunted house! But it will look spectacular in white!

You are a silly goose for saying your house looks like a haunted house! Not at all. It really will look quite different though once the new white paint goes on. Can't wait to see the "after" pictures.

Will the shingles on the back of the house be painted/stained white also? The foundation? The columns?
It will be exciting to see how it progresses.

Anon -- The shingles and trim will be white. The stucco foundation will stay gray. The columns will stay brick and will not be painted.

Thanks for your interest.
