The Mushroom and The Shoe

Nothing earth shattering to report from the cottage this morning. Just a photo of my shoe and a giant mushroom. It's overcast and will stay that way until Wednesday with showers each day. I want all of the rainy weather to come and be gone by the time my painting job starts in two weeks. The painter is placing the order for paint and primer today. I'm still feeling good about my choices of the products and the contractor. Have a nice weekend and celebration of the end of summer. I always feel that summer drags on and on until Labor Day and then in a flash the rest of the year flies by in an instant.

That's a large mushroom.
I'm sure your painting project will go well. You have gone about it very thoughtfully. Would you post before and after photos?

I enjoy your blog!

Sperry Topsiders? One of my favorite shoes, if it is. They last forever. We have been having quite a bit of rain here in Safety Harbor, Florida, too.

Lana...These shoes are LLBean Camp Mocs with brown soles. My other knockabout shoes are an ancient pair navy Topsiders with white soles. Love them both. Enjoy your weekend too. xo, Rosemary

Rosemary,
Wow, that is one very large mushroom. We are finally experiencing summer...hot and humid. Hopefully, it won't be too much longer before the nights are very cool and the days are warm but not hot.
I will hold good thoughts on your weather that your painter may start on time and complete your cottage.
xo,
Karen

Your yard grows the most amazing mushrooms, i'm so glad you share them with us.

I think your cottage is going to look fabulous after the new paint goes on. It will look so fresh and clean, a lovely way to end the summer. I think you've made a great choice, hopefully the light color will hold up well on the sunny side of your cottage. We your loyal fans will look forward to the big reveal.
