My milkweed is blooming and it's so pretty. I adore the pink stems. I'll keep you updated on the progress of the pods when they begin to form. my iPhone photo
Not to start a debate..but I actually think its Dogbane! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apocynum_cannabinum They look very similar but Dogbane has the red stems and tends to be more branching. Either way its pretty!

I'm positive that's milkweed. It's a very upright plant and this photo is turned sideways.
