In a previous post, I blogged about the history of my recycled white porcelain double farm sink. I was just looking through some old photos and came across the lead photo with two big bunches of daffodils on the ledge. My mother and I picked them at an old abandoned farm house where we used to go to pick lilacs in the spring. I forgot to do it this year. I don't remember picking my own daffodils either. Next year, I shall. If you missed it, read more about my wonderful sink here. my photo

I LOVE your gorgeous sink. It is just fantastic!
I haven't seen Lilacs for over 40 years! I used to have a huge bush that grew under my bedroom window. I loved them. So did the birds because because that is where the dryer vent was. My mother ran the dryer Just for the birds in the winter.
Missing them so much I can't imagine anyone forgetting to pick some in the spring. Shame. ;-) haha
I love hearing that your mother ran the dryer just for the birds in the winter. I don't have my own lilacs. I do know several places where they grow wild but I didn't seek them out this year. I know...shame on me.

Oh boy, your sink is gorgeous. We are looking for something like that to eventually put into a new kitchen. What a find!
Your sink, and the story, are great. I really like your kitchen. How lucky to be able to pick daffodil's and lilac from an abandoned house. So pretty.
