Stitchwort

I've never heard of this lovely little flower. I looked it up and found it's in the same family as chickweed. My grandmother was always complaining about the latter as being her arch nemesis, so I suppose stitchwort is a weed too. The flower is lovely, isn't it? I have enough weeds, so I'll pass on having this in my garden but it's welcome to invade my back field. I'll look for it. via

Chickweed makes a lovely addition to a salad and I even found a recipe for pesto made with it.
Don't know about your new flower but I love the name since I do so much needlework.

Angela....

That's the perfect flower for you. I think it's edible too. The flower is probably very tiny. I'm going to keep an eye out for it since weeds love my place.

We have one flower stitch wort on Arabia Mountain! Before I knew what they were called, I called them "joyflowers" because that is how I felt when they bloomed!!
