This lovely New England colonial with breezeway and garage barn has 1,989 square feet. Doesn't it look as if it has a lot more? The floor plan is wonderful. I am finding in my real estate business that many families today want a first floor master bedroom and one could easily be added here. I love this home, don't you? From CONNOR HOMES. They have been building new old homes since 1969.

It is a lovely house! I am surprised to see a new design with a family room AND a living room. Are you finding that your clients want both? I could understand a family room and a gameroom/playroom. And yes, downstairs masters are really really in demand in the Dallas area.
We have a farmhouse (built a few years ago) about the same size as this house. Our downstairs is a familyroom/kitchen, master bedroom and bath. The upstairs is two bedrooms and two baths. We have a big front porch and a screened porch. The kitchen is an eat in kitchen. I love our house, but doing it over again, I would have a dining room too.
Susan....Most of my friends NEVER use their living rooms if they have a family room on the first floor. A living room is the first thing they want to give up when they relocate. In the old days, our living rooms were our family rooms too. I like that idea.
Your house sounds wonderful. You should put a big farm table on your screened porch and let that be your dining room.
I've been told you have to build 3 houses before you get one that's perfect!

The home you've listed is absolutely gorgeous as are your photos and your accompanying comments so helpful for understanding the layout. If only I were in the market.

That is not my listing. It's just a website I love to look at and pick out imaginary houses for myself.
In the virtual world, you can move every day!

I was referring to your listing on the link to your real estate site.

Oh. That is my friend's house. It's an exclusive right now but it will be on the MLS soon.
It's wonderful.
