The owners wanted the kitchen to have the feel of a traditional dining room — which it was, before the renovation. The sink resembles a buffet; the nine-foot-long oval island, a dining table.

In the kitchen everything probably tastes better.
Beautiful, but do you think any actual cooking goes on there? I can't imagine cleaning spaghetti sauce spatters off that mirror frame, or where on earth they'd set down a hot pot of soup. I'm just too practical, I guess!
