I love the built-in linen presses and open shelves for linen storage. So much nicer than a linen closet. via You almost never see this old-fashioned feature in new homes -- only old ones.
We were able to buy a hall chair very similar to that one in the 80's while living in England. The backs are not carved and the back legs very plain, but a beautiful crest on the front. They were made for sitting in the hall and waiting to be received. Also they were not made for comfort, so if one had wasn't meant to be received they would be left veryuncomfable and finally leave!!!
I love this look as well. I have inherited many, many linens and would love to keep them in a system like this! I also have a mangle....perhaps it needs its own closet, too?!

Very very nice to see linens in open shelves

Viola...I thought so too!
I love the linen cupboard but the chair is something I've been searching for for years ( an affordable one, please).

I love this look. Cupboards and drawers, I never have enough storage.
...and only white linen will do! :)

Mary Anne....thanks for the interesting story about this style of chair. I love learning new things.
