Webster and I are avoiding this part of the woods in the "way back" from now on. We got lucky with our first attack of the killer yellow jackets but might not fare so well a second time.

Just went back to catch up on entries. Poor Webster! I feel so bad for both of you. Please take care of each other and give him a special treat and well wishes from Ohio. Sara
Tell Webster we all hope you'll be well soon I would like to know when you will post his biography. After all he is a regular contributor to this column I think we should have his story see his beginning his time is the puppy. Many thanks. Get well soon webster
Rosemary, do you think you should contact a bee keeper or someone who knows what to do about those bees? I wouldn't mess around with those bees. They could be those really aggressive kind. Please look into it. Take care. Janie Horn
I'm not excactly sure where the nest is located and I'm not going into that section of the woods anytime soon. I think they are okay as long as you don't bother them. Thanks for your concern.
Rosemary, have the bee person go in wearing his outfit. I really think you should get them off your property. Sorry to be so strident, but they really scare me. I just love your blog and Webster and Piggy. I don't want anything to happen to you all. janie
It's impossible....I have park land beside me and behind me -- part of a 570 acre nature reserve. I'll just make sure I go with Webster when he goes out from now on. We'll be okay.

Yes, best to avoid.
Sad though, as it is such a pretty place. But, I imagine you have alternative routes which are just as lovely :)
Mother Nature - she has her beauty as well as her hidden terrors. A way of keeping us respectful.
We live in a forest where beauty and dangers abound. And, unfortunately, Jack has an uncanny inbuilt detector for highly poisonous snakes :(
Vicki...
Luckily we don't have poisonous snakes in New Jersey.
