I saw a photo of a baby Aga in a cream color in a lovely kitchen recently and could never locate it again. I did a google image search and found some wonderful information over at Apartment Therapy. This tiny baby range or cooker is made to supplement a larger Aga but the Aga Companion can also be used alone. This baby has already been weaned! At only 24" wide, the Companion is the perfect stove for a small apartment or cottage, yet it still has two ovens and four burners. They're made of cast iron and available in 15 different colors from dark chocolate brown to a bright and vivid turquoise.
I often blog about these Aga cookers to great response. I think this is the best thing I've read about in ages, don't you? It's dual fuel too. I want this baby!!!

I had to check that out right away. On their website I only saw 11 colors shown, not including the beautiful turquoise you show. Doesn't matter though as I'm not in the market currently and probably won't ever be when I see the price!
Oooooh yes. How perfect. Aga stoves do give a kitchen such character and charm don't they? And this is a sweet looking little cooker.
I can imagine this little baby in an English cottage kitchen with aged wooden cabinets, terracotta brick floor, butlers sink below a window looking out across the countryside, a matching retro Smeg fridge and a complement of dogs or cats (or both) curled up nearby enjoying the warmth :)
Today, it is very cold, the rain has been falling for hours and looks like it has set in for the rest of the day.
On such a day, to have an Aga (momma or baby) in the kitchen, would be a pure delight. Sigh.
Rosemary,
What a cute little mini-AGA. If you get one let me know how they cook.

Rosemary, that Aga you saw recently was in Country Living, July-Aug issue, page 79, "Smooth Sailing"...the charming Nantucket cottage. Loved that whole piece. I 'm sure that's where you saw it! Love your blog...even my husband enjoys it!! Best, Judy
i want her mama....real bad. we were set to buy one of these things when we were going to turn our big cottage into a b&b. and then the market went bad. sigh. aubergine....that was my color of choice. i'm still pining. yearning.
Judy.....That is exactly where I saw the photo of the baby AGA. The magazine is right on my coffee table. I'm going to take a picture of that page and post it.
Thanks so much. I'm glad you and your husband enjoy my blog.

Aunt Jenni---
I'm so sorry you didn't get your big Aga. Maybe when everything turns around :)

Karen...If I ever replace my stove (and I'm sure I never will) I will need something 36" wide. If I were starting from scratch, I would seriously consider this 24" baby since it would give me more counter space.

Nancy....I don't want to know the price either :)

Vicki... Your weather sounds perfect for gathering around the Aga....big or small.
