I love the use of doors in gardens. Some that lead to another part of the garden and others that don't, but create the illusion that they lead somewhere... deliciously mysterious :)
Oh, door rescue. You would make a pretty penny selling them - especially over here where salvaged items such as lovely old doors are very trendy and thus quite expensive.

That is quite a coincidence. I hope you find an old door for the gap in your fence.
I always see them being thrown away...out at the curb. I wish I had a warehouse. I would stop and rescue each and every one.
