This is a stunning image featuring two of my favorite things, antiquarian books with fine bindings and spring flowers. via

A lovely mood has been captured by those gorgeous old books against the weathered wood backdrop, beautifully brightened by sweet flowers. Very, very nice.
And, as Spring is just around the corner for us here, I have been noticing daffodils and jonquils showing their wee faces to brave the still chilled air throughout the countryside - a sweet smelling promise of whats to come.
I thought the photo was simply stunning. Spring flowering bulbs are my favorite. We are going into fall and you are going into spring on the other side. I love the change of seasons. xo, Rosemary
So do I Rosemary. The seasonal shifts are wonderful. In Autumn, I love the blessedly cool breezes after a hot Summer and the palette of russet reds and golds painted across the landscape. And in Spring, the promising flower buds on trees and shrubs, the cheery smiling narcissus family and the fresh, bright green of new life appearing everywhere as the wildlife too awakens :)
By August, I've totally lost interest in gardening and mowing. I'm always anxious to put it all to bed in the fall. I can't wait for winter nesting!!! xo, Rosemary
I hear you :) Our worst month is February. And by the end of that month, I am heartily fed up with the heat and highly anticipate the Autumnal shift, which is my favourite time of year. Although, sometimes March can be a pain as Summer insists on holding out and delivering her last encore before she finally skulks away.
