My crazy arty imagination would love to create a basket for one and hang it in the corner of a room as a feature - around 'the world' in a hot air balloon :)
I love all kinds of globes, any color, any size, and probably love the blue ones more than the black or ivory ones. This photo is amazing! What a terrific idea~
That's a great idea. You should look for one of those plug-in lighted globes and make one. I sometimes see them at house sales but have never been tempted to buy one because I want one from the early 19th century at the latest.
You are talented...why not paint an overhead fixture with a round globe cover to look like a globe with paint that sticks to glass and is translucent? That would be a cool project.
