I'm still enjoying the weighted hula hoop I ordered in March. I've worked up to a 20-minute routine that's perfect for me. I can only go in a counterclockwise direction though. I am trying to learn how to go in the opposite direction but it's very difficult and I don't know why. I'm not worried though. I will master it sooner or later.
I listened to this book author recently on NPR's Fresh Air and it was very interesting. Click here to read the article and listen to the podcast, (listen to the podcast called 'stand up walk around'), this is Part I of the interview. It seems that the 'health benefits' from exercise are achieved in the first 20 minutes. Sounds good to me. Listen and learn.

Love all of your posts!
I am going to try that hula hoop! I used to love it!!
Like Penelopebianchi, I'm really intrigued with the hula hoop and am going to try it too. I was great at it when I was 8!! I'd be interested to know what changes you've noticed since you started using it?
That is a great shot. I love it. How cute does Webster look too?
Rosemary,
I love the idea of the weighted hula hoop. I especially like the idea of 20 minutes worth of exercise being enough. I walk 4 miles 3 times a week and it takes 1 hour each time...if I could get the same results in 20 minutes I'd definitely sign up! :-)
Webster looks so cute and the room behind him is wonderful. I love all that I can see of it. You must give us a tour some time.
Karen
Love the photo of Webster.
I still can't do it!
