I took this photo last night after dinner while Mr. Toad was getting a breath of fresh air. It was very hot yesterday and will be again today with a predicted 97 degree high. I put out a small stainless steel water dish for him and this morning it was filled with muddy water so I'm pretty sure he jumped in a time or two BUT he wasn't inside the toad house. I'm not too concerned (lie) and will keep you posted. I hope he comes back.

I'd be a little concerned but I think he knows how good he has it at Chez Rosemary's and will undoubtedly be returning after he forages for some yummy dinner/breakfast.

I'm so glad you've posted about your toad again. It gave me the kick in the pants I needed to learn about them. I've never had a toad in my garden but I will try and coax one in starting today!

One of the eggs in our "duck-house" fell out onto the "porch" of it (no idea how) but, it had just happened; so we pulled the house into the shore, and we put it back on the nest! She is sitting on 6 eggs!
Yeah, he ain't going nowhere. He's got a fancy house with room service. Puh-leeze. He be crazy to leave.
How have I missed previous Mr. Toad stories? This is the first I learned of him. What a cutie! Great shot.
