Everything about this photo screams England. I have absolutely no doubt that the very determined tweed clad lady was able to get that very large swan into the car.
Imagine trying to drive with a swan in the passenger seat. If you look carefully at the door edges at the top of the picture, it looks like she is trying to put the swan into the Back Seat on the Passenger side. Nonetheless, it's a hilarious sight!
Well, Rosemary, you've just managed to top yourself. That is hilarious....in so many ways. Your mind kicks into overdrive.
The archived photo directly underneath has a guy riding his bike with a very large dachshund holding on for dear life. Not in his lap, not in a basket...no, the dog's little short legs are around the guy's neck!
People are just a little wacko sometimes, don't you think?
Hilarious. I think your readers must be correct...only the English could be so caring of an animal and determined to take it to the doctor for a check up! :-) Karen

and I think it was more her idea than the swan's... :)

Wonderful image. I can just imagine several story lines.
It is England and she is putting it into the driver's side! Perhaps she plans to teach it to drive.
Oh,h,h and swans can be quite mean and ill-tempered!
