Laundry Day in Winter

I am glad to see someone else thinks it's never to cold to hang out the clothes. By Alec Soth, Sleeping by the Mississippi. Peter’s Houseboat, Winona Minnesota 2002

We are still having unusually mild weather and I have already put in my first load. Monday is the traditional laundry day after all.

I believe Peter's wash has been flash frozen. Gotta hand it to him, just the same. Your laundry won't be suffering such abuse. Yes, let's all continue to enjoy the moderate weather.
May this be the beginning of a lovely week, Rosemary.

Growing up in Quebec I saw many such scenes. I am so glad to see it survives to this day!
And thanks so much for stopping by my blog Rosemary and the lovely comment on my post.

Oh I remember bringing in laundry off the line when I was growing up, my dear friend Linda is right, it wasn't dry... just flash frozen. We would then string a line up in the basement and hang the clothes on it to finally get dry. I think this houseboat owner must be a thrifty optimist.
