Did I Mention That I Am Sick?

I woke up on Tuesday morning with a vicious sore throat and I took to my bed.
While rummaging around in one of the bathroom cabinets looking for something to relieve my symptoms I discovered this very Neti Pot and packages of a saline mixture. I had forgotten all about having it. I immediately started irrigating my sinuses every couple of hours and I think it has had a marvelous result. I've been able to breathe and I think this little device is going to keep the cold from traveling into my chest. Fingers crossed. It has been years since I've had been sick and I blame it on this warm weather.
Other things that are helping: watching movies in bed and drinking plenty of liquids. I was glad I could bring my laptop into the bedroom so I could still manage my blog. I hope I can stay awake to watch Revenge tonight. See you tomorrow.

Oh, I hope you feel better soon. Rest, good movies, and maybe some good hot tea. I've heard those neti pots work, but I'm not so sure I'd try one......

Feel better, Rosemary. I have heard of those pots, I could just never stand to get water in my nose when I am swimming. Is it something like that? Feel better, friend.

Yes, please get better although it doesn't sound a huge burden being bed-ridden, watching TV, etc. Just saying. LOL!

Btw a friend of mine swears by peroxide swabbing when feeling ill. She swabs her nostrils and ears to kill virus. Yup.

I've always associated Neti pots with unwashed hippies - now I'll REALLY have to change that thought! Hope you can banish the evil bugs very quickly Rosemary & you are back to full health pronto.

I hope you feel better soon, Rosemary! I gargle with Bragg's apple cider vinegar when I have a sore throat. It's unfiltered so it has the "mother" in it -- and that's what kills everything. You can gargle straight or add water to it.
Sometimes I drink 8 oz room temp water, 2 teaspoons of the vinegar and honey to taste. It smells worse than it tastes..!
Rest up!

It's the end of the 5th day of my cold - the lack of energy is the toughest part. Just returned from a meeting and I off to bed. I plan to make an appointment tomorrow . . . if I have a little pot stashed away, I surely would find it and use it.
Be careful. Don't pounce back too fast.
REST
FLUIDS
Webster on your feet
A good movie or TV show
I'm banking on your turn about by the end of the week.

Feel better soon. This is a rotten time to be sick. (Well, when is it a good time?) Take care.

Did the Neti Pot work?
I have one and am so scared to use it, I have read it takes some getting used to. Glad you are on the mends as I write this.

I have a neti pot hidden in a bathroom drawer too. I never use it but I really should. Never thought it would work for colds. Good to hear :)
