An Early Snowfall

I remember a snowfall like this here at the cottage several years ago. The fall cleanup went out the window that year. via

Many years ago while living in Nashville we had a Halloween snow. It was amazing. Everyone built snow witches. The children had to trick or treat in snow boots and wool coats. Doesn't nature give us the most wonderful surprises? Bonnie

Rosemary,
What a beautiful image. I don't believe I've ever seen a picture of snow with such colorful foliage. Today, October 12, is supposed to be 80+ degrees here in SoCal (believe me, I'm not bragging). My sweaters are ready, I'm ready for fall!

I love this photo of the snow on the fall leaves. I went to college in Maine and I can remember a similar scene. Snow in October! Great photo.

Gorgeous. I can't even begin to imagine seeing something like this in person.

I think I'm living in the wrong state.

What a glorious picture, absolutely breathtaking. I think the hubby and I will get in the car and drive west to the Shenandoahs next week and check out the fall foliage although I don't think we'll see a scene quite like this one.
