This little sewing shed is very sweet, isn't it? I love the natural light coming in over the sewing machine. I ran across a big stash of vintage ticking I had completely forgotten about this week and it made me want to sew. Sewing rooms are probably pretty rare these days but they are a must for the serious seamstress. You can just close the door and pick up where you left off later. We always had one when I was growing up and my mother and I both sewed with a red-hot needle on our Singer. via

Aaaah, the light. Red-hot needle - I like that image! My daughter and I keep the sewing machine out at all times... because sometimes you just have to whip up a stuffed bunny, or cut the sleeves off your shirt, or add fringe to something on a moment's notice, you know?
that makes me want to move my sewing room into a shed lol

HOW LOVELY..I HAVE A STORAGE SHED WITH TWO PARTS AND I KEEP THINKING I WANT TO DO SOMETHING LIKE THIS HAVING TO INCLUDE MY GARDEN THINGS AS WELL ADORABLE THIS IS. HAPPY FRIDAY AND HAVE A LOVELY WEEKEND.
I love the shed, even if I don't sew enough to call if a sewing shed...how about a reading/writing shed?

If you think sewing rooms are rare these days then you don't know any quilters. My laundry room is now my sewing room and isn't much bigger than this. I of course also have a quilting room where my gammel quilting machine is with it's 12 foot table takes much more room. This room is pretty but much too neat for me. I need to see a project in the works. PattiO
