I think this black island base with the white marble top is elegant, don't you? I love all the drawers. Somehow I think this is a real working kitchen and not a trophy where no cooking ever takes place. *

I have a friend who keeps encouraging me to paint my kitchen island black. I lack the courage do it. I do love the drawers in this island, would love to have them myself....I wouldn't turn down the kitchen either.

Beautiful kitchen! I've seen plenty "trophy" kitchens and can't relate to them. I like a real working kitchen.
This is a favorite. I love the black island and the clean white subway tiles on the back splash.
