Wouldn't it be fun to have this bunk bed on wheels so you could roll it out to the sleeping porch on hot nights? That would be ever so much better than sleeping in air conditioning. I love the night sounds of summer coming in through open windows.
How very whimsical! I do believe I have never seen a bunk bed such as that! I, too, prefer to sleep under the stars, the wonderful night air singing the soft notes of the owl in the large oak behind the porch. Now if only the weather would warm, I could do so!!
It would be wonderful to roll that bed out in the evenings and listen to the Whippoorwill or Chuck-Wills Widow chirping their evening songs. You post the most glorious pictures. They often times just "dreamy". Enjoy your holiday weekend, Rosemary. Debi
If only it were warm enough for the shower or the sleeping outdoors... I suppose we are all longing for summer to arrive! Thanks for the lovely pics, Rosemary.

I love that feeling too! I have a sunroom that has a chaise lounge in it, I occasionally find myself gravitating to that room for a nice nap. :D
Just a note to tell you how much I enjoy your blog.
I look forward to each new one.
The bird with her young today is wonderful,
Many thanks,
Ann
