Perfect His and Her Bath | Betty Lou Phillips

Betty Lou Phillips has created a wonderful his and her bathroom in her own home. Monsieur and Madame monogrammed towels and mosaic on the floor to clarify who stands where.

Go get your own towels. HIS are in a wonderful shower shown in the complete article. The zinc tub, marble floors, walls, and window surrounds are fabulous.

An old medical cabinet was refurbished and is perfect in this bathroom for storing marked terry cloth bath linens. I have a similar one in my attic studio but there is no room for it in my bathroom. Read more...

The bathroom is eye candy, but not practical at all. I need cabinet for my hair dryer, cosmetics etc. So many of the decor pictures I look at are just that, eye candy. Wouldn't want the bathroom myself, but I do enjoy seeing it. Thanks for posting Betty Lou's work.

Rosemary,
My problem is not so much that I dislike what I have, but I have been drawn to too many styles....absolutely an indication of my AADD. Over the years, I have embraced everything from French to Santa Fe to Shabby Chic to Texana. At this stage of life, I am culling and sticking to my antique New England painted furniture. It is better than stocks and bonds, and it never goes out of "style" since it possesses such classic integrity. And this is just one of the reasons that I adore your blog. Your beautiful home and landscape speak volumes to me. And, of course, there is the fabulously lovable Webster.
