My two newest hens, Fern and Daisy, were purchased from a hatchery and never knew their mothers. Even today, at almost one year old, I see that they could have benefitted from having a mama. Daisy perches restlessly beside Fern and attempts over and over to crawl underneath her. ...I think she could be a candidate for a little chicken psychotherapy...
