Green Pleated Skirt by Maira Kalman

Sounds like a plan. Isn't this one of the sweetest things to dream about?

"My dream is to walk around the world. A smallish backpack, all essentials neatly in place. A camera. A notebook. A traveling paint set. A hat. Good shoes. A nice pleated (green?) skirt for the occasional seaside hotel afternoon dance." — The Principles of Uncertainty by Maira Kalman

This is absolutely something fun to dream about - and this reminds me of a lady I met a few years ago who was hiking alone around "the toe of England" on her annual jaunt in Cornwall near Land's End! Not sure if she had the green skirt in her backpack, but she had all the other essentials, including some wonderful natural salve for my friend's insect bite! Cassandra ♥

I don't know about backpacking around the world, "Winnabago-ing" maybe...haha! But pleated skirts? ahhh yes I have deplored the loss of those beauties for years now! I had many at one time and wish I had them still.
