First look at Celine Dion's $20m Florida waterpark mansion
"And if it proves not to be enough water for the singer, she can always take a short walk down to the beach, as the house overlooks the Atlantic. The lavish pool system uses 500,000 gallons of water (6.5million gallons are needed for the park each year). The water features includes two swimming pools, two water slides and a lazy river, which has a slow current to carry bathers around the pool." This is just plain crazy. What is she thinking? Another shrine to excess (and bad taste). What happens in Las Vegas should stay in Las Vegas.

Guess big egos need big houses.....
I saw this article yesterday and my reaction was just like yours. The grounds of this compound reflect excess, overkill, thoughtlessness and to me are pretty appalling! Having a lot of money does mean that you'll have good sense or good taste.
...shame on her...and shame on the authorities who allowed this ...i am in atlanta...we are just now coming out of a 6 year drought...it has been beyond horrible watching our beautiful old trees crash as their roots come to the service looking for water...our lakes dry up...and our pitiful gardens die before our eyes...we will have water restrictions forever here...we are just thankful that for the first summer in years our lakes are full and our mountains are beautiful again...and for a little bit of time each day our children can actually play in the old fashioned hose...
I wish this kind of excess was stopped. Who authorized the permits to build something like this that will waste that much water, not to mention adding 1,000's of pounds of chemicals to the waste water treatment as well as what evaporates in the the air? I thought we were trying to reduce pollution not increase it.
Oh Lordy, Lordy!
Millie ^_^
