This is probably about the 4th time I've featured sliding barn doors used as an interior feature. I always stop to look at photos of them when I'm browsing blogs. I forgot to make a note of the source of this photo for these new doors that maintained the look of their barn/carriage house origins. It's a lovely Friday morning so far. I'd better get my outside work done early because I think it's going to be quite warm. Have a great weekend, Rosemary
I need a door like this to close my home office/yoga studio away from the living room. Any ideas on how to get the best deal and quality? I'm in Phoenix. Thanks.
Hi, there apart from loving the look of barn doors, I was hoping to use them as a comprimise. I hate open plan and my husband loves it so I thought this would give us the choice - are there any pro's or cons to barn doors - we are building a new house currently . thanks
If you are building from scratch, you should use pocket doors which are invisible and free up the walls for artwork and furniture placement. I wouldn't put barn doors all over the place, but maybe one set would be nice.
Good luck. I adore pocket doors. You can't put them in after the fact and that's why barn doors have become so popular.
Shannon.....I love that rug too but it's not mine. I found the photo on the internet and haven't been able to find the link to credit the photo source. xo, Rosemary

I always have loved this type of sliding doors! Thanks!
Whenever I have the joy of owning my own home, I'm definitely going to find a way to incorporate sliding barn doors in my interior design!
They're so pleasing to my eyes and I love the notion of recycling objects and fixtures - the more eclectic, the better!
Hope you continue to come across some more of these doors, Rosemary!

We put interior barn doors throughout our new old fashioned farmhouse. We love them!
We've got barn doors in our basement to enclose all the "clutter". Take a look: http://www.woodstarproducts.com/index.php?main_page=page&id=27
