Lovely English Cottage

Give me a good English cottage any day. Love this one. Scanned from a 2004 edition of Architectural Digest I picked up at the recycling depot on Tuesday. I could never have those yew hedges at my house. The deer around here consider yew to be candy. I am totally against trying to grow anything on their eat list so I am somewhat limited. They don't like English boxwood and that is a very good thing. I must get my passport renewed. England is calling.

I'll pack my bags and meet you at JFK! What a wonderful cottage. I love so much about jolly old England, the cottages, the china, the tea shops, the countryside, the literature, Aga and more. I think that I will spend the rest of the day practicing my English accent.

Love,
Susan and Bentley

PS: Good movies to get in the mood are Howard's End, Miss Potter, 84 Charing Cross Road and The Holiday.

Found you via Thankful Thursday. Love your cottage photos AND your pug pics. As a pug owner, I can appreciate the personality in them. xo,

So true; I love the cottage Rosemary. I also watched the Queen last week when we got all our white stuff! It really put me in the mood for some tea.

Oh Rosemary, what wonderful pictures you have put up. The cottage, the beds, that great poster. I lived in England as a child and it's been calling me too, but I read a lot of blogs from there, so I get a little dose that way.
Jolly pip pip and what ho!!

Hi Rosemary. I like the name of your blog and I too love England. We also have major problems with deer! I am glad to meet you but I am wondering why you linked up with me for Thankful Thursday, since your post isn't about that:)
