The first portrait of Britain's Princes William and Harry together is now on display at London's National Portrait Gallery where it will remain for the next six months. The new painting of the youthful princes in full-dress military uniforms and assorted medals and sashes is hanging alongside other royal portraits. The gallery commissioned the historic work, painted by London-based artist Nicky Philipps, after a series of sittings at her studio in the South Kensington neighborhood.
These handsome young princes look very much at ease and natural, don't they? Their mother would be so proud. Continued.

Wonderful portrait! I was surprised when I clicked on the article, to see the size of the painting. Smaller than I imagined. Must have been nerve wracking to be the commissioned artist, knowing the scrutiny it would be under.
