Aspirin Facial | A spring cleaning for your face . . .

Ingredients: 5 plain uncoated aspirin tablets
moisted with water or other liquid.
I used soymilk and a dollop of yogurt.
You can use fruit juice too.

Let sit for a bit and crush with the back of a spoon.
I added more yogurt too.

Spread on dry face, rub around, and let it dry.

Impossible to smile. It is beginning to tighten.
Repeat in two weeks.
No more than 2 facials per month.

Leave it on for as long as you want. I am going to wash mine off (using a washcloth) when I take my morning shower which is long overdue. I haven't done one of these facials in quite a while. People usually remark about my glowing complexion right after I've done one. I am generally not big on beauty treatments since I am about as "all natural" as a person can be. However, this is something that I really like. I found it a couple of years ago on the Internet and have been a fan ever since. I always have all of the inexpensive ingredients on hand.

Try one yourself and let me know how you like it. Your skin will be baby soft and nicely deep cleaned. Your creams and moisturizers will really sink in and work better. The mixture is a little gritty feeling when you spread it on but that is a good thing. It will not hurt the most delicate skin so rub it all around. The addition of an acid (milk, fruit juice, yogurt) will make it even better. Helps with the exfoliation. Try not to get any in your eyes.

Sorry to have scared you with my photo. Aren't I brave? Still can't smile. Bye...off to the shower now.

PS...This would be good for gentlemen too. There is nothing girly-girly about this facial. It is plain and to the point plus it really works!

I'm going to try this. I've never done a facial of any kind before. I read the post to my (scientific) husband and he said, since it's not girly-girl, he'll try it too, but only one side so he can ascertain the value. (okay... but don't blame us if only one side of your face glows!) don't know if i'm brave enough to blog the process! stay tuned.

The Brave Blogger Award goes straight to you dear Rosemary! Thank you for your sacrifice, you will be mentioned in blogging despatches.

I love this, so I'm going to give it a go on the w/end. I haven't been able to use mask treatments for the past 15 years, as our dear old cat Miss Chloe used to absolutely freak-out if I put one on. Now she's RIP, I think I can safely resume.
