Old Cement Planter at My Cottage

Cement planter looking very lonesome while awaiting the return of a large geranium overwintering in the cottage. It won't be long now.

This is a screenshot of my Instagram grid showing all of my recent posts.

I took this photo this morning of the periwinkle blooming in my woods. The intense blue color is amazing and very stunning on an overcast day, like this Sunday morning. See you later. xo

Dear Content, I must tell you how fabulous that oatmeal muffin recipe has been! I have tossed in all kinds of stuff, peanuts, grated apple, old walnuts, a banana that has been in the freezer for 6 months, it doesn't seem to matter, they are great every time! I have used whole wheat pastry flour, some gluten free mix and a bit of Bob's Red Mill whole grain pancake mix. Still yummy. Bwah ha ha ha …
Thanks a bunch!

Dee -- I know what you mean. They always turn out beautifully no matter what you throw in. I have some old frozen bananas in my freezer too. Maybe I will use them instead of an egg in my next batch. My goal is to use every single thing in my freezer and probably will in the month of April. I am thrilled you love the oatmeal muffin recipe as much as I do.

That urn looks like cast stone to me! It is so gorgeous, it looks wonderful even empty!
That is what Tara Dillard always says! Make sure a pot or urn is beautiful even empty!
Gorgeous!
Is "periwinkle" the same as "vinca"?

I love love love all of your posts!

Gorgeous concrete planter! I'm embarrassed to admit that while cleaning the basement on Saturday, I found three potted geraniums in a small room that holds our water softener/heater. They looked pitiful, but there were green sprouts on the tops. They've been neglected, but they pulled through. Anxious to plant them outside!
