Byzantine Floor Mosaic With Portrait
Fragment of a Floor Mosaic circa 500–550. The rod that she holds, the measuring tool for the Roman foot, identifies her as a personification of the abstract concept of "Ktisis," or Foundation. How suitable for a floor.Read more: Mosaic Floor Fragment with a Personification of Ktisis

Goodnight Moon | Outside My Kitchen Window
Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show #134
This Weimaraner named Sizzle is enjoying some well-deserved lap time. I guess you're never too big to be a lap dog. I love this breed. They all seem to be so comfortable in their own skin.Pets on Parade : The New Yorker: "Contestants, their handlers, and admirers at the events surrounding the 134th Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show, at Madison Square Garden. Wonderful Antique Windows
Now that's what I call a window. I don't think I've ever seen a better one.
These interior windows are wonderful too.
Abandoned windows. I could never walk away from these, could you?
Curved window alcove with ice crystals on the glass. Nice shutters and fabulous carved millwork. I'd love to have some frozen windows to photograph today. These would be perfect.
I've always liked windows that opened awning style. Love the vines too.Enjoy the last weekend in February.
