A fine set of stairs painted to look like books at a busy downtown parking garage. These were sponsored by The Greenville Literacy Association in Greenville, SC. Just wonderful. I used to live there. Any project that promotes literacy is a worthy one.
Be sure to click on the link above to see all the things they did in Greenville to promote their book sale. All of their clever and effective efforts resulted in the largest single-day book sale in the country. They raised $127,000 in 8 hours. Over 100,000 used books were donated. World's Most Expensive Perfume | Clive Christian
Clive Christian Imperial Majesty Perfume
Imperial Majesty is a limited edition of a Clive Christian signature scent. Sold simply as No. 1, the fragrance is priced at $2,150 an ounce. But the reason Imperial Majesty costs so much is that Christian, a British designer-turned-perfumer, poured 16.9 ounces of No. 1 into a Baccarat crystal bottle and set a five-carat diamond into the 18-carat gold collar.
This limited edition scent is an exquisite fusion of rare and precious natural ingredients.

I did the math. Seems as if the final cost is $36,335. Wonder what it smells like? Let me know if your sweetie gives you a bottle on Valentine's Day.
World's Biggest Book | Klencke Atlas
At the British Library it takes six people to hoist up the largest book in the world, the Klencke Atlas. The 350 year old tomb given to King Charles II has never been seen with its pages open by the public. It's about to go on display very soon. Read more.
Happy First Day of February. Enjoy your Monday. Rosemary

Shakespeare Dream Interpretation Machine
The Folger Shakespeare Library has posted this fascinating online dream interpreter which is sadly no longer available. It provided a unique Renaissance-era dream interpretation. Rosemary
I',m always dreaming about building houses. That is a good thing, it signifies comfort. Hooray.

Wonderful Room
I love this room filled with natural light for reading, writing, listening to music, and blogging. I'm sure the one comfortable chair, ottoman and floor lamp I would require are just out of sight. Image and quote.
