Byzantine Floor Mosaic With Portrait
Fragment of a Floor Mosaic circa 500–550. The rod that she holds, the measuring tool for the Roman foot, identifies her as a personification of the abstract concept of "Ktisis," or Foundation. How suitable for a floor.

Goodnight Moon | Outside My Kitchen Window
Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show #134
This Weimaraner named Sizzle is enjoying some well-deserved lap time. I guess you're never too big to be a lap dog. I love this breed. They all seem to be so comfortable in their own skin.

Thanks so much for the mention. This is the only way I could think of to contact this talented artist and blogger to thank her for mentioning me on her blog. I wanted to leave a comment but they aren't enabled and there is no email contact information. You need to fix this. Let me know if you need help. Thanks, Rosemary

Wonderful Antique Windows
Now that's what I call a window. I don't think I've ever seen a better one.
These interior windows are wonderful too.
Abandoned windows. I could never walk away from these, could you?
Curved window alcove with ice crystals on the glass. Nice shutters and fabulous carved millwork. I'd love to have some frozen windows to photograph today. These would be perfect.
I've always liked windows that opened awning style. Love the vines too.
Enjoy the last weekend in February.

The Howard Gilman Gallery at The Met
This looks like a fun exhibit. Maybe you'll get some ideas for what to do with that shoebox or drawer full of old family photos.

Architecture At Dusk
I love to see homes at night when the all the lights are on. It is supposed to be good feng shui too. No bad Karma can hide in the dark nooks and crannies.
I like these modern interiors too. You know I love the bookcases in the upper one and the amazing view in the last one.
