Wouldn't this be a wonderful place to visit? I would love to have unfenced sheep wandering all over the place. The world is full of so much loveliness, isn't it? Enjoy your holiday Monday.

Video Message To John Lennon From Yoko Ono 9th October 2010
Webster Enjoys Breakfast In Bed
Webster took the apple butter jar back to bed to work at getting all of it out of the jar. As always, he has his eyes closed so he can really concentrate on the task and the taste. It really is good stuff with no added sugar made locally from apple cider and spices at a farm market. He's very happy with his new rummage sale pillow too. Life is good.

Fun Friday
I hope you are looking forward to having some fun over the upcoming Columbus Day Weekend. This little panda seems to be enjoying his ride on the rocking horse, doesn't he?
What will I be doing? Don't ask. My goal is to be finished washing all my windows by Saturday afternoon. This is taking much longer than usual for some reason. I'm doing an extra-thorough job and I'm feeling good about doing them in such nice weather. I cleaned the screens too.

Big Chickens Guarding My Cottage
I don't think I've ever featured the two huge cast iron chickens that sit on my brick wall. I've had them for a very long time and they are the perfect guardians for my cottage. It looks like it's going to be another great day here -- hope you can say the same.

Fall Front Door Love
I love both of these front doors, don't you? the second one reminds me of my previous house. It had those bulls eye glass panels over the door. Also, there was no way to see who was on the other side, a feature I didn't care for. With the door on the stone house you could always peek out the window.
Good progress was made here today. The living room is finished. As I was cleaning the two outside living room windows, Webster was watching my every move with his nose pressed firmly against the inside panes I had just finished washing. Honestly, housework is a losing battle. I also did another French door (my last one) in the kitchen. I should finish the whole first floor in another couple of days.
Ivy Covered Cottage
I took this photo of my friend's outbuilding last year. The ivy had gotten a little out of control and was completely covering two windows on one side. The next time you see a beautiful ivy-covered house with all the windows in plain view you can rest assured that lots of clipping and trimming was involved. Isn't maintenance never ending? I've been washing windows for the past three days and the fun is beginning to wear off. Now it is seeming more like work . . . but the end result is going to be spectacular.
