Vintage Leather Luggage

This is my kind of luggage but there's no chance it will ever come back for real use because of the extreme weight. I bought a leather suitcase rather like this one at an outdoor market in England and lugged it all over from pillar to post until I could check it in as part of my luggage at the airport. My arms were completely pulled out of their sockets by the time I got to my seat. I still love it as an interior design element. photo via Encore! Life

Webster Enjoys Breakfast In Bed

Webster took the apple butter jar back to bed to work at getting all of it out of the jar. As always, he has his eyes closed so he can really concentrate on the task and the taste. It really is good stuff with no added sugar made locally from apple cider and spices at a farm market. He's very happy with his new rummage sale pillow too. Life is good.

Fun Friday

I hope you are looking forward to having some fun over the upcoming Columbus Day Weekend. This little panda seems to be enjoying his ride on the rocking horse, doesn't he?

What will I be doing? Don't ask. My goal is to be finished washing all my windows by Saturday afternoon. This is taking much longer than usual for some reason. I'm doing an extra-thorough job and I'm feeling good about doing them in such nice weather. I cleaned the screens too.

The long holiday weekend is supposed to be spectacular as far as the weather is concerned in the Northeast. Enjoy the scenery. See you later.

Big Chickens Guarding My Cottage
