I really like this country bath, don't you? I'm especially in love with the simple shelf design. What a great look. I'm going to wait until tomorrow morning for my hot bath so I'll be squeeky clean for my Open House. Wish me luck. I have a vintage Kohler corner tub from the 1930s that is original to my cottage. The Duchess of Windsor had the same one. Really. One day I'll post a picture of hers.
This certainly is true for my dog Webster who is thrilled by a short ride in the car to go to the post office around the corner. If we stop at the bank and get a biscuit he's over the moon. Dogs can teach us so much, can't they? Have a great weekend. It's is going to be wonderful weather today and tomorrow in my neck of the woods. Hope you can say the same.
This is how I want my yard to look. Who wants to help me? What's stopping me? I have the perfect spot too.
"Katharine Hepburn, star of such classic movies as 'African Queen' and 'Little Women,' took her place on a U.S. postage stamp this past Wednesday.
I couldn't believe my luck when I found not one but two of these cast iron urns in a rare small size at a garage sale for $1.00 each. I have them planted with succulents and they give me lots of pleasure sitting on my kitchen windowsill. This one is photographed in front of my favorite set of antiquarian books with hunting motifs on the spines of the fine leather bindings. Life is good!

Which of these classic bikes would you like to jump on and take a long ride down a beautiful country road with no vehicular traffic? I must choose the middle one because it has a basket for my camera.
I hung my hummingbird feeder a couple of weeks ago outside my kitchen window. I've noticed that the level of the sugar-water solution I prepared has been going down and today I found out why. Those tiny birds have discovered their sweet nectar and have been feasting while I wasn't looking. It's going to be hard to get decent pictures through the screen. When it gets warmer I'll have to hide out on the balcony and wait, camera in hand. I am thrilled. Stay turned for more hummingbird news.
Don't you love the floral nosegay used as a bookmark? How pretty these posies look inside the antiquarian book. The sun is finally shining brightly at my house and there is a heavy dew this morning. When everything dries out I have lots of mowing to do. Have a wonderful Thursday. I'll be back later, Rosemary.
