Happy Earth Day. I love this globe magnified in the water drop.
I've been looking for the original recipe for these cookies for such a long time and finally found it. It used to be printed on the box and hasn't been there for years. These are the best cookies ever. You can add chocolate chips instead of raisins and nuts too if you wish. I'm making these today exactly like the recipe shown below. These were a huge part of my childhood since all the ingredients were always in the pantry. They were mother-approved snacks for my brother and me.
The frost on these colorful leaves looks like a dusting of sugar, doesn't it. So beautiful. Happy Earth Day.
It is almost time for bed and I think tonight's the night I'd like to be out on a limb in this bed swing. Wouldn't that be fun? Goodnight. See you in the morning. It's TV time now.

I love the antiques in all of Jessie Wilcox Smith's illustrations. These two young girls sitting on early ladderback chairs are concentrating with all their might because when your hands are small tasks like this are very hard. I hope you can find a willing friend to help you with your work today. This is another wonderful illustration that is new to me. How do you wind your yarn?
This beautiful scarlet ibis was photographed in Barbados. WOW. I'm really seeing red today, aren't I?
