This quote is still true in America for the most part. There aren't that many new houses being built that can stand the test of time either architecturally or structurally.

I was reading a friend's Natural Health Magazine and I thought this recipe for Middle Eastern Chickpea Burgers sounded good. Too lazy to recopy, I snapped a few photos with my pocket camera. Sorry for the poor quality. Enlarge to read. Don't these sound easy and good? I always have cans of chickpeas on hand and brown rice too. 100 calories each. Yum. I think they'd be good without the bun too. I'm going to make them tomorrow for Meatless Monday.

Shakira the Serval kitten finds puppy love in her adoptive home "Peeking out from among these puppies this tiny kitten may look a little out of her depth but in fact she is right at home. Shakira, the five month-old Serval cat, was welcomed into this unlikely clan after she was rejected by her mother from a local zoo near Munich, Germany." She's right at home with this pack of Rhodesian Ridgeback dogs.
I love stories like this with happy endings, don't you?

Oh I do hope so. I love Chris Isaak. He has a great voice and he's funny too. He would be perfect and everyone would love him. Fingers crossed. Fellow crooner Harry Connick Jr. is also rumored to be in the running to replace Simon Cowell. Harry would be good but he and Ellen fight too much and that could be a big problem. I vote for Chris. A good way to describe Chris Isaak for those of you who don't know him, he's a cross between Elvis and Ricky Nelson.
Get to know him better. Watch and listen to 19 of his music videos here.
