Painted Stairs

I think this staircase is beautiful and it was clever not to paint the design on the risers, just the treads. High upkeep, but beautiful. via

Amazing Hallway w/ Cupboards + Stenciled Floor

This architecture is amazing. I love the high ceilings and lighting fixtures. The closed built-in cupboards are wonderful as are the curved glazed door china cupboards. The floor is really stunning. i wish we could see more, don't you? via

Painted Porch Floor

You know how much I love a painted floor and this one is exceptional! Happy Friday. This would be a nice place to wile away the weekend, wouldn't it? My life has been devoted lately to weeding, weeding, and more weeding. My birds are wonderful this year and I've been pulling weeds by hand. I don't spray and my gravel driveway is looking better. See you later. xo

Painted Stairs

This is such a clever idea. Painted steps to look like those old feed sacks that usually have red stripes instead of blue.  I like the grab bar too. via

Painted Floor with Mariner's Compass

The house I toured on Tuesday had an accurately positioned mariner's compass painted on the floor. I would have preferred it to be lined up with the floor boards. It just seemed wrong to me even though it was right (smile).

Cheerful Kitchen Behind Pocket Doors

It's nice to see pocket doors again instead of sliding barn doors, isn't it? I love this cheerful small pantry kitchen with open shelves and checkerboard floor. via
My exterior painting hasn't started yet but I've been busy with trades people working inside. All of my electrical problems have been solved inside and out. Plumber is coming on Friday. Progress is being made.

An Eclectic Country Kitchen

Yes.Yes.Yes. I love the wall of many drawers. I could fill them all up too.

So many interesting vintage items in this large country kitchen.

Painted Floor on a Deck

This is the first deck I've ever seen painted in a checkerboard pattern and I love it. I painted a kitchen floor in these colors at my last house and loved it too. Click here to see the one I painted.

Waiting for His Walk

The question is, "Who will be walking whom?" Isn't this the perfect use for a window seat? via

Red and White Checks

I am partial to blue and white but decided to give some equal time to red and white checks on a kitchen floor and on cabin beds.

I prefer black and white or gray and white on floors, but this looks nice for a change.

I usually prefer blue and white checks in a bedroom but I have to admit these bunk beds look wonderful in red and white. Sorry I don't have source links. I'll try to add them later.

Multi-Purpose Bedroom | Nice!

It's charming. I love the red accessories, the blue and white painted floor, and the paneled walls and ceiling. It's very cheerful and filled with natural light. Very nice indeed. This would be the perfect guest suite, wouldn't it? via

Geometric Floor w/ Mariner's Compass

This hallway floor is very well thought out with full diamonds on either side of the mariner's compass within an oval. This design uses the natural floor with stained diamonds and focal motif. I like the outside border too. I toured this house recently. Have a great weekend!
