Busy as a Bee

I have been very busy outside all week long and things are shaping up very nicely. The weather went from 20 degrees above normal for this time of year to below normal and I like that. I can work all day without stopping if it is breezy, cloudy and cool as it was yesterday. My peonies are up and the buds get a little larger each day. via

Have a lovely day. I wish I had these two helpers to work inside while I work outside. A clone or two would be nice this time of year, wouldn't it? I just do what I can do and try not to fret about the rest. Have a great May weekend. xo

Life Inside a Birdhouse

Happy first day of Spring. We are supposed to have snow later this morning that won't quit until midnight. It should melt tomorrow when the thermometer climbs to 50°. This little bird video made me smile. It looks like my life -- tidy all day, watch tv, and look in the refrigerator.

I feel like the Minion on the right.

I can't take it any more. Yesterday my gutters were melting and I shoveled slush for hours and everything was looking good. Now it's snowing again and we might get 8" or more before it stops, if it ever does. My phone app shows it will still be coming down at 9pm and I can't check beyond that. via Be safe and stay warm, This is a big winter storm and I know I'm not alone. xo

We will have snow tomorrow.

I went to the movies today to see The Imitation Game with Benedict Cumberbatch and it was wonderful. I'm so glad I watched both seasons of The Bletchley Circle on PBS and was already familiar with Bletchley Park. Put it on your list of "must see" movies for 2015. See you next year. xo

Fall Rainy Day

I find this so restful to look at before bedtime. No, it's not raining here yet but will be by the weekend. I get my best work done on rainy days so I'm looking forward to being forced to stay inside and buckle down. See you in the morning. via

Warm your Hands by the Fire

My cottage feels like a tomb. It's pretty nice outside in the sunshine but cold inside. I've been rushing around all day so it hasn't mattered much but now that I'm sitting down I'd like some warmth. I have those plug-in oil-filled radiators up in the attic and one is beside my computer chair. Maybe I'll go up there and do some work and get warm. See you later. Happy October

I can hardly believe it's October already. I got my flu shot today much earlier than usual but that's when my town was conducting the clinic at the Health Department.

Cat Cleaning Her Dog Pillow

I don't think the dog ever moved a muscle while this cat worked so very hard to get everything just right before settling in for a nap. I got up way too early this morning thanks to Tabitha and I took an afternoon nap on the sofa all wrapped up in a big woolen throw. It's very chilly outside and inside too. For some reason I always resist wearing socks until it gets really cold. xo
