The morning shadows were especially nice on this wall in my kitchen just now. Luckily my camera was nearby and I grabbed it after letting Webster out for a quickie. Another wonderful fall day awaits me and I'm so glad to be able to get an early start this morning. After I get my coffee fix who knows what can happen. Enjoy your day.

Orbit The Orphaned Owl Loves His Stuffed Toy
In his five short weeks of life, Orbit hasn’t met many other owls.
So he isn’t at all worried that his new best friend doesn’t hoot back.
The orphaned chick is perfectly content in the company of the stuffed bird perched next to him and is never far from his side.
Orbit, a common barn owl, was given the toy by Lyndsey Wood, his care giver at Folly Farm, near Narberth in West Wales.
She said: ‘A friend suggested that I find something like a toy owl to stop Orbit from feeling lonely. I thought he might try to eat it, but he just cuddles up to it and goes to sleep.’
All you need is a friend. Somehow I keep finding these wonderful stories about orphaned baby animals and you know I'll keep sharing them with you! I found this one on Tumbler.com

Owl with Spanish Moss
Another owl to delight you. This one is sitting on a tree limb draped with Spanish moss. I think I've mentioned before that the parkland adjacent to my cottage is the habitat for screech owls. I hear them at night in the summer when the windows are open but never see them.

This photo absolutely stopped me in my tracks and I couldn't wait to share it with you. I wish I could jump inside and spend some time with all of those beautiful things.

Classic Cotswolds
Chipping Campden, Gloucestershire, England. I absolutely love this section of the Cotswolds and I'm quite sure I have pictures of this house packed away taken in the 1970s long before digital. Please click to enlarge this beautiful photo ©Robert Silverwood via Flickr.

Time For A Nap
This sleeping puppy is so funny. He looks las if he's out cold. I couldn't resist stealing it from The Animal Blog.

Baby Hedgehog
Is there anything cuter than a baby hedgehog? I think not. This one seems to be posing for his black and white portrait. No gel was needed for the adorable spiked hairdo. I would imagine the quills on a baby would be on the soft side.

Good Night Moon
Time to turn off the computer and see if there's anything to watch on Sunday night TV. See you in the morning. Sleep tight. It always takes me a few days to get used to the new time. So far, I'm not a fan of this early darkness. It makes me sleepy way too early.

Mr. Big Ears ~ Two Versions
Isn't this a great photo of a wild hare? I guess they are burrowing in their warrens until spring. I'm not sure what the second long-eared animal will be doing except making us laugh.

An Unusual Friendship
I would expect to see a dog on a leash . . . not a sheep. These two look perfectly content curled up with one another, don't they?

Hamilton House in South Berwick, Maine
The Hamilton House in South Berwick, Maine where visitors can enjoy concerts and storytelling in the garden. The views of the Salmon Falls River are splendid. This handsome Georgian house was built by Col. Jonathan Hamilton shortly after he purchased 30 acres here in 1783.

French Baguette Truck
What a great job this must be. Can you imagine how heavenly this cute little truck must smell inside? I wonder if the driver has a stick of butter handy or if he just eats this freshly baked bread plain? YUM. Have a delicious weekend.
