This volunteer poppy reseeded itself and lasted for one day. There are several more pods that will open. I was thrilled to see it. I forgot to plant more and still have an unopened seed packet. The leaves look like crepe paper, don't they?

What a gorgeous poppy. The fact that it was a "surprise" flower makes it all the more special. Great color!
