Sit and Say Goodbye to August

This looks like the perfect place to sit and discuss what happened to summer this year. Was it because there wasn't that much really hot weather or because we were too busy to notice it whizzing by? For me, it was a combination of the two. I had a real estate listing that went on the MLS on June 3rd and it closed on Thursday, 8/28. That's how I spent my summer vacation. It was a challenge, but it all worked out in the end and I'm so relieved. Enjoy the long Labor Day Weekend and be safe. xo via

PERFECT picture for your caption and post! I don't think there is anything as relaxing and calming as sitting on a dock on a lake. Hope you have a good weekend, Rosemary!

My , that is the perfect spot, isn't it? And yet, I doubt I would have the time to sit and enjoy it. You are so correct about this summer going fast. Feels like I just got out in the garden, and yet I'm up to my ears in produce that needs blanching/freezing (which is what I'm doing right now....)
Have a wonderful weekend. Congrats on the closing.

I must say this has been the most temperate and lovely summer in my memory! No two or three week unbearably hot and sticky marathons! Just gorgeous dry sunny days with gentle rains in between for the grass and flowers. Love it! I'm happy to join you on the dock. I hope we get to see another summer like this soon....

A picture like this just takes me to a different place ... Magically. Hope you are enjoying your weekend.

It's still hot as a pistol here ... Seriously, we don't start thinking about Fall until October. Granted, this year wasn't as bad as usual, but still enough to keep me indoors. I swear I'm renting a closet in Maine next year.

Cheers ... Congrats on the house sale.

Oh Rosemary!

What a divine post!!

Perfect for the end of summer. No rain here....however; my pond "deconstructionist" is building us a little deck.....looking at the mountains"

In addition; restoring our duck-houses.....they will be able to return next February!

Keep your fingers crossed......it is horrific in California!

I think our pond will exist again thanks to our "liner" and our former "civil engineer from Costa Rica"!!

He is my hero!
