Folded over pages in books are another of my pet peeves.

Amen! Why do people fold down pages in a book or even put the book face down which breaks the spine? Any slip of paper can serve as a bookmark, it doesn't have to be fancy!
How about the books that people not only fold the pages down but EAT their way through the whole book! I have come across books with grease spots, crumbs and an actual raisin - now REALLY! There are so many beautiful and fun bookmarks out there to use - how hard is that to do?
Here, here! Dog-earring book pages is an annoyance of mine as well. I recall doing it lots when I was a little girl, but have since learned the right way: a bookmark. best, teaorwine

I agree! I actually ask for a new bookmark for Christmas. I didn't get it....I think someone thought it was too simple.

I agree! I can't stand defacing a book and folding pages seems a little like that.

Great choice of WPA poster, hard to pick a favorite so nice that we really don't have to.
