They really love each other as you can see.
My mother was 91 this past October. Doesn't she look great? She doesn't dye her hair and has always been blessed with great natural beauty. She is legally blind due to macular degeneration but is otherwise healthy. Having her share my cottage is my greatest blessing. Maybe she will start a trend of mixing prints with plaid. She always wears jumpers and she doesn't look like herself in anything else.

That plaid and print is so beaucoup francais. That is the best picture you have shared all year. Your choice of pictures to share has created a picture of yourself as a special woman who lives in the now and celebrates daily blessings. God bless you and may 2012 be a year of good health and prosperity.

Tu madre es muy hermosa! eres un alma sensible al compartir estas imágenes con nosotros. GRACIAS
Un beso
What a lovely lady. How wonderful that you can share your home with her. I miss my mother - not just at Christmas. My father is gone and my husband. It is just my two daughters and I, now. They are wonderful and I love them so much. We will all three be together for Christmas. For the first time, this year, at my younger daughter's flat. Missing those dear ones who have gone before, but happy to have the precious memories.
she is beautiful! and i love the prints with plaid.
thanks for sharing such a personal and loving post.
Your Mom is gorgeous! How lucky you are to get to spend every day with her! Beautiful photos!
Merry Christmas
Rebecca
Oh Rosemary, these photos make be teary eyed, your mom is so beautiful. I envy you, I lost my mother to cancer when I was 16. This is my favorite Content in a Cottage post ever and I agree with the above commenter, these are the best pictures that you've posted this year.
What great genetics you've inherited, my hair is completely white/gray and only blond because I pay a lot of money. If I actually reach 91 I know I won't be doing as well as your mother.
You obviously have an incredible mother but I must say she has a very amazing and incredible daughter. Thank you for sharing this very special woman with us.
she looks comfortable and happy in her plaids and prints...and she is a lovely lady...so are you for sharing this with us! I miss my mother very much at Christmas...she was the holder of all the traditions that have now sadly gone by the wayside...enjoy Christmas together with the wonder dog and piggy if he gets to stay...and the best for the new year too.
...we know she must be just as beautiful on the inside...we know because we know her daughter...blessings and hugs...laney
oh I adore these photos. Lovely. I am so happy for you that you have your Mom and enjoy her. I love her outfit. Love it!!!!! Thanks for posting. Lynda
Oh, that is such a hallmark moment. I totally agree with Kernal Ken. His sentiments are right on. So very wonderful. Thank you so much. You are so generous in spirit.
The makings of a marvelous Christmas--Rosemary, Mom, Webster and Piggy, all warm and Content in a Cottage. A merry, merry holiday to you all!
Rosemary, Your mom looks great. You are blessed to still get mommy hugs. I love her outfit. I always want to dress like Katherine Hepburn, the older I get. Smiles, Susie (She Junks)
You know how much I love your dear Mother Rosemary, so these images with Piggie have made my Christmas extra special. Thank you for a truly magical year of CiaC posts, each one a little beauty. Just when I think you can't get any better, of course you just do!!
We hope your Christmas Day is a delight from start to finish, it looks like our overdue Summer will grace us on Sunday with temperatures in the high 90F's. It wouldn't be an Aussie Christmas without everyone in shorts & flip flops, fighting for a spot in front of the air conditioner. Off to fight the crowds & do all my food shopping.
Much love to you dear friend Millie, MOTH & puppy Lulu. xxx
Goodness, what lovely photos that you shared of your lovely Mother. The apple doesn't fall too far from the tree! You are both lovely women. Hope ya'll have a happy Christmas!
Love,
Kay
How lucky for you to still have your mom, mine passed away a little over 1 year ago and I miss her so much. Your mom looks very sweet and amazing for her age...good gene pool, Rosemary.
Karen
Rosemary your mother is beautiful! I love the picture of her kissing Piggy. Piggy is so pleased. May you both have a wonderful Christmas. Bonnie
Well, I can certainly see why Piggy loves coming to visit. From licking the oatmeal pan to getting kisses from Grandma, he's got it made. Life is good. Very good.
I did it again, posted as my husband....I know you know who really posted. You must think I'm a real lose screw. Glad you got the package, USPS has done very well for me this year. Will you have Piggy through Christmas?
Rosemary,
Your mother is simply adorable & very loving. Now we know how you look so great!!-) Wishing you and your mom a very Merry Xmas.
Rosemary,
Have been reading your blog for just a year. I start every morning reading the whole of the previous day's blog. I love the "places" you've taken me to on the web. We travel well together. I love labs and lab mixes...and so I have become a huge Webster fan and thoroughly enjoy his friend Piggy's visits. However, I agree with others who have written here that I most appreciate the realness of you. You share your life...your walks, your neighborhood of which I am familiar, your daily schedule and your family. Never for a moment think that we, your readers, mind hearing of life as it is...and even being part of your new toy, this miraculous iphone! I always enjoy the photos of your mom. She is the fortunate one. You are gracious and loving...and no matter what age we are we are all grateful for gracious and loving children. The best for the holidays. Kathy
Dear Rosemary, it's the precious loved ones in our lives who truly define us. Now, my picture of the sweet Cottage is completed by the photos of Anna that you just shared. I treasure this meeting with her in a place (the Cottage) I have grown to love with each visit for more days than I can recall. It seems as if I have been dropping by forever because you make me feel quite welcome there.
Merry Christmas, Rosemary and Anna.
Your Mom is beautiful Rosemary, she reminds me of my Mom, whom I've missed for the last 7 Christmases. Give yours a big hug for me and Merry Christmas!
Beautiful portraits of your lovely mom. xo
I love what you bring to the world with this blog... thank you for sharing your mom with us and such a feeling of kindess and love. <3
